By accessing or using IA Clean (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
IA Clean is a free, browser-based tool that reads image files you select and produces a re-encoded copy with embedded metadata removed. All processing described happens locally in your browser; no image file is transmitted to our servers as part of this function.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use IA Clean only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the images you process and for how you use the cleaned output, including compliance with any applicable law, platform policy, or third party rights (such as copyright or a person's right to their own likeness).
4. No warranty
IA Clean is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Metadata detection and removal is performed using heuristic, browser-based methods; we do not guarantee that every possible metadata field, embedded chunk, or provenance marker will be identified or removed in every file format or edge case. If you are handling sensitive files where complete removal is critical (for example, for legal, safety, or journalistic reasons), you should independently verify the output using dedicated forensic tools before relying on it.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IA Clean and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including any loss of data, loss of privacy, or reliance on incomplete metadata removal.
6. Intellectual property
The IA Clean name, logo, and website design are the property of their respective owners. You retain full ownership of any images you process through the Service — we claim no rights over your content at any point.
7. Third-party advertising
IA Clean may display third-party advertising, including through Google AdSense. Ads are served and governed by the relevant third party's own terms and privacy practices, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable local law in the jurisdiction where the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer protection law provides otherwise.
